Frappier

James "Jay" Frappier is a Partner and the majority owner of the BDF Law Group based out of our Addison, Texas headquarters.

Jay attended Florida State University and Rider University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 1984. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the South Texas College of Law in 1992. Upon graduation from law school, he spent three years as the in-house Default Servicing Counsel for a mortgage company in Dallas. He served as President of First American Default Management Solutions. His responsibilities included operations and marketing, along with the management of six diverse business units and over 1,600 employees.

He is admitted to the State Bar of Texas, the Bar of the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas. He is active with TMBA, MBA, USFN, and is a member of the American and Dallas Bar Associations. He is a noted speaker on both the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Texas Debt Collection Act (TDCA).
